Six Siblings Named Cam

A family from Virginia has gone viral for parents Carolyn Cousin and Cameron Butts naming their *six children names that are, "creative variations of the same root 'Cam' ":

πŸ“›Cameron

πŸ“›Camreon

πŸ“›Cam'Ron

πŸ“›Camarion

πŸ“›Camryn

πŸ“›*Carmyn ('Cam' is still within Carmyn)

The children are clearly named after their father πŸ“›Cameron, who sweetly, "before he even became a dad, knew that if he had a daughter, he wanted to share a name with her, which became Camryn."

When the Cam's mother introduced her “six pack,” with their names on TikTok, the video took off, with thousands of reactions, many of them questioning the choice:

“Girl please say ur kidding"

“There are enough names in this world that no one in the same family should have to share one with their siblings. This should be illegal.”

To the Cam's mom, the criticism is confusing as she views the tradition as a lighthearted family legacy. She says her daughter Camryn looked at TikTok and was confused by the comments. "She always says to me, ‘We love our names.’” Carolyn says her children have nicknames but, "When I use their full names, they know exactly who I’m talking to. Somehow, it just works out!"

I think naming one's children the same or almost the same names is very interesting. πŸ€” I really like the same name idea πŸ’‘ but more so for middle name rather first names. I like with the Butt's family (who remind me similarly of Jennifer Love Hewitt's family, whose children all have the same middle name) the kids aren't all just named Cameron or Cam, now that would be really crazy. 😳 The variations of πŸ“›Cameron are better choices. πŸ‘πŸΎ And it's really wonderful and cute πŸ₯° that the children love sharing the same name in part — that's what should matter the most.

Freddy, Jason & Michael: Horror Inspired Names

Happy Halloween! πŸŽƒ Halloween is synonymous with Horror — so I will be talking about the top three horror movie character's names!
For non-horror fans, the names Freddy, Jason and Michael may seem like everyday names for a boy or man. But πŸ“›Freddy (born Frederick) Krueger, πŸ“›Jason Voorhees and πŸ“›Michael Myers are significant names being the 'Big 3' in the world of πŸ”ͺ🩸horror movies. πŸŽ₯ The names Freddy, Jason and Michael are all unsuspecting and pretty normal enough in the real world, yet their bearers signify evil incarnate in Horror. 😱
Interestingly, the meaning of each iconic horror name is... good. πŸ˜‡ πŸ“›Freddy means "peaceful ruler", πŸ“›Jason means "to heal" and πŸ“›Michael means "who is like God?" Michael is the most popular of the three, ranking at #18 on the Most Popular Baby Names of 2024. Jason is second, coming in at #148. Freddy is the least popular name, at least in the U.S. In England, Freddy is the #319th most popular name.
I wonder if there are any baby boys specifically named after any of the horror villains πŸ€” or better yet, if there's any sibling set, brothers (triplets) named after each horror character. 😨 That would be something else (and pretty cool 😎 I admit) having sons πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ‘ΌπŸ» named: Freddy, Jason and Michael. 😰
          I like the names πŸ“›Freddy πŸ‘πŸΎ and πŸ“›Jason πŸ‘πŸΎ most — not a big fan of πŸ“›Michael πŸ€·πŸΎ‍♀️ but I do like Michael Myers a lot. πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ

      Three Siblings Named James

Jennifer Love Hewitt, actress and mother of three children, gave the middle name: πŸ“›James not only to her two sons (πŸ“›Atticus James and πŸ“›Aidan James) but also to her daughter (πŸ“›Autumn James does have a cool ring to it)! 🀯

I love πŸ’“ the intention behind naming all her children with the same middle name: it was to honor Hewitt's husband's grandfather named James. Plus it is pretty cute that all siblings share the same name in some way outside of their last name.

I personally wouldn't mind if I had the same middle name as my three siblings... 🀷🏾‍♀️ but it would definitely depend on the name because I love my middle name. πŸ₯°

Could a same-middle-name-for-siblings catch on and become a name trend? πŸ€”

      πŸ“›IRN RATING OF πŸ“›James: πŸ‘ OR πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’“/10
