Baby names influenced by September 11

Today is Patriot Day and the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Nancy's Baby Names (a very underrated name blog, who years ago interviewed me for a 📛name 📝interview entitled: 'How do you like your name, Sidra?' [unfortunately it has been omitted 😕 but fortunately I have screenshots 📸 of it that I will post one of these days 👌🏾] ) has an 🤔intriguing 📄piece on her website in honor of September 11, 2001 (RIP to the innocent victims whose lives were lost) — where she breaks down the names influenced by the tragedy. 

Nancy explains that a "handful of conceptual names" gained ⏩traction and 📈popularity after 9/11 —  those four names being: 📛🗽Liberty, 📛⚖️Justice, 📛🦅Freedom and 📛🔔Independence.

☔IRN📛's 🗣️Take: "I never thought about name trends after 9/11 so this is all very new to me. 🤫 But I'd already heard of a couple of the names that rose after 9/11 like: Liberty (I recently found out this is a Puritan name 😱. I like it for a 💓girl more) and Justice (I went to 🎓college with a stand-up 👏 male classmate 😎coolly named this! And Justice has been one of my favorite female names since high 🏫school. I also love the 🎥movie 🎵Poetic Justice where the main character has the name. I love it equally for 💙boys and💓girls). But I've never heard of Freedom (outside of 'Free' the former ❤BET📺 106 & Park host, which was her stage name. Free is nice and strong 💪 but it can have a 😉risqué connotation too...I like it for 💙boys more) or Independence (I like the nickname for it more: 'Indie'. I like it more for a 💓girl) used as first names until now. 😮 So to answer Nancy's question: 📛Justice is my favorite abstract noun name, followed by 📛Liberty, 📛Independence and lastly 📛Freedom. They're all wonderfully inspiring names to have however!"

Today I will talk about the very cheerful 😃 name that belonged to the very cute, klutzy and loveable 🥰 "Chrissy" of the sitcom 3️⃣Three's Company. 📺 The full name of Chrissy (played by the late Suzanne Somers RIP) was actually: 📛🎄Christmas Noelle Snow.❄ How incredibly delightful and special is that name?!? 😊 I've been a fan of the show since I was small and just found out years ago that 📛Chrissy = 🎄Christmas. 🤯 

🎄Christmas as a first name is "from the name of the holiday, which means ✝ Christ festival."

Nameberry explains 🎄Christmas is a name of English origin  — "a day name long and quietly used as a name for babies born at Christmas. Prettier and more modern than Noel or Noelle."

🎄Christmas is a super rare name with just under 145 babies given the joyful name according to SSA data. 📍California and 📍Hawaii are where 🎄Christmas lovers have named their children the happy, holiday name.

I love the idea of giving 📛🎄Christmas as a name. It's definitely a holiday name that would make one do a 👀double take upon seeing (a la 📛Easter 🐇). 🎄Christmas as a name is celebratory 🙌 with great spiritual significance. 🎄Christmas is first and foremost a girl's 💗 name interestingly. 🤔 But I equally like using 🎄Christmas for a boy 💙 too — with 📛Chris as the perfect nickname. 👌🏾
