The month of July is named for Roman ruler Julius Caesar: Quintilis, which was his birth month, was renamed July when he died. Quintilis means “fifth month” in Latin, which represents where this month originally fell in the Roman calendar. 

The name 📛Julius is Latin and means 'youthful, downy-bearded' and possibly derived from  Greek ἴουλος (ioulos). Behind the Name explains Julius could be related to the Roman god Jupiter.

I like the name 📛Julius mainly for the association with Julius Caesar, but outside of that, Julius is still a strong, solid name. But I admit...
