NAME OF THE DAY: Trinity

๐Ÿ“บReality show ๐Ÿ’˜Love ๐ŸIsland USA (season 8) has a female cast member with the ๐Ÿ—ฃlively, ✝holy, number 3️⃣three oriented name of: ๐Ÿ“›Trinity

Trinity is a word with religious meaning of: "a group of three; triad. Also called Blessed Trinity. Also called Holy Trinity. The Trinity. The union of three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit ) in one Godhead, or the threefold personality of the one Supreme Being."

๐Ÿ“–Bible Hub explains: "The doctrine of the Trinity is a central tenet of Christian theology, describing the nature of God as three distinct persons in one essence: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This concept, while not explicitly named in Scripture, is derived from a comprehensive interpretation of biblical texts and has been affirmed by the historic creeds of the Christian faithThe New Testament provides clearer revelation of the Trinity. The baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3:16-17 presents all three persons: "As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'" Here, the Father speaks, the Son is baptized, and the Spirit descends."

๐Ÿ“–Bible Gateway interestingly points out in a think piece written by a Christian believer: "The word Trinity itself never shows up in Scripture. Anywhere. So I’ve also long wondered: For a belief that sits at the center of the Christian faith, what should we make of this big, important word missing from the Bible’s vocabulary? Is the Trinity in the Bible? If the actual word cannot be found, I have concluded again and again, the Trinity’s truth stretches across the Bible’s many pages. It interweaves so much of what we see of God in God’s character and work. And the Trinity, as the early church found, provides the best explanation for how the three persons belong together, work together, operate together for our life and salvation."

In terms of ๐Ÿ“›Trinity used as a first name, Behind The Name says, it has only been in use as a given name since the 20th century.

⏪1964 seems to be the year Trinity entered onto US name ๐Ÿ“Šcharts - ๐Ÿ“›Nameberry's๐Ÿ’ data shows.

๐Ÿ“›NB๐Ÿ’ says, "For 12 years, Trinity appeared in the US Top 100. Nevertheless, it remains in the US Top 500, and was given to nearly 900 girls in 2023." Currently Trinity ranks #428 in US Top 1000.

The reason for Trinity rising๐Ÿ“ˆ in popularity for ๐Ÿ‘ถbaby ๐Ÿ’—girls is due to the huge, futuristic film ๐ŸŽฅThe Matrix in 1999. ๐Ÿ˜ŽTrinity was played by actress Carrie Ann Moss. "Trinity surged up the charts in the early 2000s, following the release of The MatrixIn The Matrix, the name is used to suggest a parallel between the character and God and to create a sense of mystery and power around her. Interestingly, however, the movie actually made Trinity feel more usable, familiar, and cool as a name optionIn just two years, it made an impressive jump from the latter end of the charts to the US Top 100, where it remained for more than a decade,๐Ÿ“›NB๐Ÿ’ says.

Trinity made it to #10 on ๐Ÿ“ฐSlate's '10 of the Sweetest Puritan Names' List joking, "The name saw a burst in popularity in 1999—due to a particular film, I suppose."

๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’ describes the of Latin origin Trinity as a name that "feels both spiritual and trendy." ๐Ÿ“›NB๐Ÿ’ expands asking and answering, "What does the future hold for Trinity? It's religious aspects may well keep it in use for years to come and with Genesis in the Top 100, and other religious word choices like Chosen and Halo rising up the charts, it might just have a resurgence in the future."

๐Ÿ“Texas & ๐Ÿ“District of Columbia are where the most people named Trinity live.

I like the name ๐Ÿ“›Trinity, it's a ๐ŸŽ‰fun name (due do the ๐ŸŽฆfilm history behind it) yet it's a ๐Ÿ’ญthoughtful, deep name (due to ๐Ÿ™religious aspect to it). It definitely fits the personality of the ๐Ÿซงbubbly Trinity Tatum on ๐Ÿ’˜Love ๐ŸIsland. I actually knew two Trinities. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ One Trinity I met during college, she was nice from what I remember. The other I met a few years ago, however her name was spelled cutely ๐Ÿ“›Trinitee - she had a bold personality. I like ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ the other used variation ๐Ÿ“›Triniti - it's adorable. ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐Ÿ“›Trinity is also used as a ๐Ÿ’™boy's name, peaking at #779 in ⏪1975. I prefer it used for ๐Ÿ’—girls more so because I'm used to hearing it as a girl's name but I don't mind it on a boy. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพ‍♀️ And it really makes more sense ๐Ÿค” it should be given to boys more as the Trinity is masculine in nature.

A woman named Cinderella finds her happily ever after

The TODAY show recently profiled a real life woman named the ๐Ÿงš‍♀️fairy tale๐Ÿ“– name of ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨! ๐Ÿคฏ

๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ Kemunto Kidwell explains how she from Kenya, became the bearer of the dreamy, storybook๐Ÿ“– / Disney๐Ÿฐ movie๐ŸŽฅ name every little girl ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ง knows the tale of: “Growing up, we were not very well off, and my dad is a big dreamer." To her dad (an English literature teacher with a fondness for fairy tales), ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderellawas a “grass-to-grace” story about perseverance: a young woman who overcame hardship through hard work and ultimately found a better life. But growing up, ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ did not always appreciate having the name of one of the world’s most recognizable fictional characters. “Kids would tease me at school,” she admits. “And I went from being proud of my name to embarrassed.” By age 11, she had asked friends and classmates to call her ๐Ÿ“›Cindy instead, a choice that followed her into early adulthood.

After becoming a model, ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ continued to keep her legal name at arm’s length. In 2016, when she won the title of ๐Ÿ‘‘Miss ๐ŸŒWorld ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ชKenya Kisii County, she used the nickname Cindy, that she had adopted as a child. However, the name she had long kept to herself continued to draw admiration. Whenever people saw “๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella” written on official documents, they often remarked on how beautiful it was. And It wasn’t until years later that ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ began to see her own life reflected in the fairy tale her father loved.

At 25, ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ left Kenya and moved to the ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธUnited States alone. In America, she found herself starting over without a support system. Back home, she had built a successful career as a model, artist and makeup artist. For the first three years, she worked as a caregiver, setting aside many of the creative pursuits that had once defined her. She spent her days helping others, cooking meals, cleaning homes and caring for clients. But unlike the fairy-tale heroine, however, she says the people she cared for treated her with kindness. Looking back, she can’t help but notice the irony of finding herself in a role that mirrored the character she was named after. “Wake up, clean the house, cook for them, draw with them, sing with them,” ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella recounts.

Then In 2023, ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ magically met her real life ๐ŸคดPrince Charming, Bradley Kidwell. The ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟ‍❤️‍๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผcouple married seven months later. My husband has always treated me like a queen,” ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ gushes.

As far as her distinct name, she is returning to social media and creative work under the name she once tried to hide. I keep on joking that I’m my own fairy godmother, because I transformed my own life,” ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ jokes. At 30, she says she finally understands why her father chose ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella. “Now, I’m becoming proud of it. I’m at the happily-ever-after part of the story.”

Behind The Name says the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ means "little ashes" in part from the ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทFrench name ๐Ÿ“›Cendrillon

๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’says the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella✨ means "little ash-girl" and it is "one familiar name never used for real people, for obvious reasons."

๐Ÿ“›NB๐Ÿ’ expands on ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella: "๐ŸฐDisney ๐Ÿ‘‘Princess ๐Ÿ“›names are full of magic and wonder. Many successful Disney movies have significantly impacted naming trends, and the princess characters are historically some of the most influentialOne of the most widely known fairy tales of all time is the rags-to-riches story of  ๐Ÿ‘ CinderellaThe name ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella is meant to be a mashup of ๐Ÿ“›Cinder, as in ashes, and ๐Ÿ“›Ella, meaning girl. While ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella has not, nor will it likely ever, get any sort of significant use (๐Ÿ‘ Cinderellaentered the US Top 1000๐Ÿ“Š in 1894 and ranked at  #1256๐Ÿ“ˆ. Unfortunately it seemed to peak at popularity last in 1970 at  #4807๐Ÿ“‰.) as a given name, some retellings provide a different perspective on the heroine's name. In Disney's 2015 live-action adaptation, as well as the 2013 Broadway adaptation, the character's real name is Ella, and ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella is merely a teasing nickname given by her evil step-sisters due to her job of sweeping chimneys. Ella definitely has a lot more potential, currently ranking at #25 in the US after resurfacing from its 100-year hiatus. It should also be noted that the name ๐Ÿ“›Cindy rose significantly after the original Disney movie's release, reaching its peak a few years later in 1957. Coincidence? Maybe. Cindy was already on the rise, but I like to think a few parents may have been inspired by the sweet ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella."

๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderellahas a variant spelling: ๐Ÿ“›Sinderella๐Ÿ“›Names.org says: "Sinderella is a modern, stylized variant of ๐Ÿ‘ CinderellaThe “Sin-” spelling likely emerged in late 20th–21st century Anglophone pop culture as a playful or edgy respelling, sometimes evoking “sin” for tongue-in-cheek contrast with the virtuous heroine."

๐Ÿ“California๐ŸŒž and ๐Ÿ“Alaska๐Ÿฅถ are the states where the most ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderellascall home.๐Ÿก

Below are a variety of comments from Behind The Name on the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella:

I absolutely love ๐Ÿฅฐ the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ Cinderellabeing given to a real life girl! ๐Ÿค— It's a beautiful, charming name (I love ๐Ÿ˜ the alternate, more modern ๐Ÿ“›Sinderella as well) — plus who wouldn't want to be one the very few ๐Ÿ‘ Cinderella walking around in the world?! With the ๐Ÿ’—heart-warming story of ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ‘ CinderellaKemunto Kidwell — it's inspiring ๐ŸŒ an I'm especially glad she ๐Ÿ’ฏembraced her super special name her wonderful father ๐ŸŽgifted her. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

Adora: the most adorable name ever!

I recently came across literally the most adorable๐Ÿฅฐ name ever: ๐Ÿ“›Adora

But no it's not short for the word: Adorable! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Adora is the short form of ๐Ÿ“›Adoracion  which means: adoration in Spanish. Behind The Name explains, "this name refers to the event that is known in Christian tradition as the Adoration of the Magi, which is when the three Magi presented gifts๐ŸŽ to the infant Jesus✝ and worshipped him."

๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’ says Adora is, "A name that would lavish your child with adoration, a princess name--as in Princess Adora of She-Ra: ๐Ÿ‘‘Princess of Power."

๐Ÿ“California and ๐Ÿ“District of Columbia are where the most Adoras live.

I love ❤️ the name ๐Ÿ“›Adora — it's just too cute of a name especially if using it as a ๐Ÿ‘‘princess name (FYI I knew of ๐Ÿ—กShe-Ra growing up and I never realized her name was Adora! ๐Ÿคฏ) for a little ๐Ÿ’—girl. But it's also very precious and special if using it for the ๐Ÿ™spiritual meaning behind the wonderful name.

BOOK CHARACTER NAME OF INTEREST: Prairie

๐Ÿ“›Prairie is the lush๐ŸŒฟ name of a character in the children's book๐Ÿ“— Ballad of Lucy Whipple by Karen Cushman — she is a younger sister ๐Ÿ‘ง of protagonist ☀️California Morning๐ŸŒ„ aka Lucy Whipple.

Prairie as an English word means: "a tract of grassland; meadow. An extensive, level or slightly undulating, mostly treeless tract of land in the Mississippi valley, characterized by a highly fertile soil and originally covered with coarse grasses, and merging into drier plateaus in the west."

๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’ explains further, Prairie is derived from the Old French word praierie, which ultimately came from the Latin pratum, meaning "meadow." ๐Ÿ“›NB๐Ÿ’ describes Prairie as an, "unspecific place name with a wonderfully wide-open, spacious, western feel."

๐Ÿ“☀️California and ๐Ÿ“South Dakota are the most Prairies (๐Ÿ‘ถbaby girls and women๐Ÿ‘ฉ) are found.

I had never heard of ๐Ÿ“›Prairie used as a first name ๐Ÿ˜ฎ until recently — it's so fresh and definitely different — of course I love it. ๐Ÿฅฐ Plus it's a really pretty name  I like how it sounds used as a name. ๐Ÿ“›Prairie is so rare, it arrived on name charts๐Ÿ“Š in ⏪1977 and as of 2024 it is #4434 on the US Top 1000. This ๐ŸŒŽearthy, green name could have potential to rise ๐Ÿ“ˆ in popularity... and I'm rooting for it to. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ

MIDDLE MYSTERY: What is Rihanna's middle name?

๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ“›"๐Ÿ“›Rihanna is singer Robyn Rihanna Fenty's middle name."

When ๐ŸŽคRihanna first stepped  ☂️ on the ๐ŸŽตmusic scene, I assumed like most, her first name was Rihanna. ✔ Wrong.๐Ÿšซ ๐Ÿ“›Robyn ๐Ÿฆis her first name and although cute (too, the name of ๐ŸŽคRobyn the Swedish singer), it was a great choice ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ to go by her middle name professionally. Rihanna is a distinct, gorgeous, one-of-a-kind ๐Ÿ’Žname (meaning "basil" in Arabic, derived from ๐Ÿ“›Rayhana). My only gripes with it are: sometimes I write it mistakenly as ๐Ÿ“›Rhianna (which is an alt spelled version of ๐Ÿ“›Rihanna) ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♀️ or I think of the similar yet unrelated Welsh name ๐Ÿ“›Rhiannon (I'm not a big fan of it ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพ‍♀️). NAME OF THE DAY: Venus

Happy ๐Ÿ’ŒValentine's Day❣️ Today is the holiday of ๐Ÿ’žlove so I will be discussing the name of a goddess who represents love: ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ’˜Venus

๐Ÿ’˜Venus in Roman mythology (in Greek mythology she is known as ๐Ÿ’˜Aphrodite) is the goddess of love, beauty and desire. ๐Ÿ’˜Venus ๐Ÿ”ˆwe.nusmeans "love, sexual desire" in Latin—  and the second planet from the sun ☀️ is named after her.

๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’ deems ๐Ÿ’˜Venus an "intimidating no-no" name until ๐ŸŽพtennis player ๐Ÿ’˜Venus Williams popularized it, putting "an athletic, modern spin" on the lovely name. ๐Ÿ’˜Venus currently ranks #956 in the US Top 1000.

๐Ÿ“California ☀️ is fittingly the state where the most women named ๐Ÿ’˜Venus reside.

I love ๐Ÿ˜ the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ’˜Venus and I've actually known a ๐Ÿ’˜Venus (a beautiful friend ๐Ÿฅฐ inside & out ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ) since kindergarten. I'm surprised ๐Ÿ’˜Venus isn't more of a ๐Ÿ“ˆ rising name ๐Ÿ“›  at least in recent years. Hopefully ๐Ÿ’˜Venus starts to somehow ⬆ chart again on the ๐Ÿ“› name ๐Ÿ“Š charts. As classic ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿพ and stunning ๐Ÿ’– of a name ๐Ÿ’˜Venus is — I feel it's only a matter of time ⌛ before more new parents fall in love ๐Ÿฅฐ with it to ๐Ÿ“›name their ๐Ÿ’—daughter.

NAME OF THE DAY: January

Being it's the start of January ๐ŸŽ‰ I will be discussing the first month of the year name: ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January

January "the term originated before the year 1000 from Middle English, ultimately deriving from the Latin noun use of Jฤnuฤrius, equivalent to Jฤnus. In ancient Roman culture, Jฤnus was a god of doorways, beginnings, and the rising and setting of the sun. His name comes from the Latin jฤnus, meaning 'doorway, archway, arcade.'"

Behind the Name explains that ๐Ÿ“…January "briefly charted on the American top 1000 list for girls after it was borne by the protagonist of Jacqueline Susann's novel Once Is Not Enough (1973).๐Ÿ“›Nameberry๐Ÿ’ believes it was because of the character ๐Ÿ“…January Wayne in Susann's ๐Ÿ“˜book that boosted baby girls to be named after her in the 1970s.

The second cultural influence that helped spike January as a baby name is — ๐Ÿ“…January Jones ๐ŸŽฅ — who played Betty Draper on the wildly successful 2007 ๐Ÿ“บshow Mad Men. The mother-to-be of Jones was inspired by ๐Ÿ“…January Wayne's character so much, she named her baby daughter after her. Now Nameberry says, "๐Ÿ“…January has joined ๐Ÿ“…March, ๐Ÿ“…April, ๐Ÿ“…June and ๐Ÿ“…August as a plausible month name."

๐Ÿ“…January's rank on the US Top 1000 name chart ๐Ÿ“ˆ is #749. And as of 2024, "๐Ÿ“…January was only used on 11 girls in the US, making it a very rare choice."

๐Ÿ“North Dakota ๐Ÿฅถ has the most Januarys along with supposedly ☀ sunny ๐Ÿ“California.

๐Ÿ“Brazil, has the city of Januaria, which is used as a girl's name and means 'January' in Portuguese.

๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January ๐Ÿฅ‡ is just like the month name ๐Ÿ“›October to me, one of my favorite names ever. I've loved ๐Ÿฅฐ the name ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January since I was in high ๐Ÿซschool in fact. It's a name I would have loved to have been named ๐Ÿ˜ญ as I was born ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ (and if I had a daughter and she were born in January, ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January would be my top pick ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ) in January (btw today is my ๐ŸŽ‚birthday! ๐Ÿค—).

๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January is a beautiful name with significant history behind the name. I definitely prefer๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January more so for a girl ๐Ÿ’— but boys named ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January ๐Ÿ’™ are just as cool. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I'm surprised ๐Ÿ“›๐Ÿ“…January is not a top month baby name by now... ๐Ÿค” I hope it will start to rise ๐Ÿ“ˆ on the name charts again. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ Nameberry has hope it will too pointing out: "January was used by Emily Henry in her popular contemporary romance novel, Beach Read, which might inspire parents-to-be in coming years."

"Have you ever entertained in front of a view like this?"

"Have you?"

"Sometimes I come out here and entertain myself."

"That's very naughty of you Pandora."

"Pandora's my colleague. I stole you from her. My name's Cherry."

⬆ Flirty conversation in the tv miniseries The Girlfriend, between characters ๐Ÿ’Cherry (played by Olivia Cooke) who poses as her co-worker ๐ŸŽPandora (played by Marina Bye) and a property client. With how provocative ๐Ÿ’Cherry's character is, her name should be ๐ŸŽPandora instead! ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♀️

๐Ÿ“›๐ŸŽPandora is a very controversial name to name a woman.๐ŸŽPandora means: "all gifts", derived from a combination of Greek ฯ€แพถฮฝ (pan) meaning "all" and ฮดแฟถฯฮฟฮฝ (doron) meaning "gift". In Greek mythology Pandora was the first mortal woman. Zeus gave her a jar containing all of the troubles and ills that mankind now knows, and told her not to open it. Unfortunately her curiosity got the best of her and she opened it, unleashing the evil spirits into the world.๐ŸŽPandora's alternate name is: ๐Ÿ“›Anesidora meaning, "she who sends up gifts."

Nameberry says on ๐ŸŽPandora being used in modern times for baby girls: "๐ŸŽPandora is riding the wave of mythological names used for babies after centuries of being confined to legend." 34 baby girls were named ๐ŸŽPandora last year.

I'm surprised ๐Ÿ˜ฎ there's even women today named ๐ŸŽPandora with the not-so-great mythology behind her name. I genuinely wonder ๐Ÿค” how parents made the bold decision to name their daughter after a woman who brought evil into the world, according to Greek mythology... ๐Ÿ˜–

Now beyond the history of ๐ŸŽPandora's name, it's a really nice name I admit. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพ‍♀️ ๐Ÿ“›๐ŸŽPandora is a name like the Bible's ๐Ÿ“›Eve ๐Ÿ“›Delilah or ๐Ÿ“›Jezebel  pretty but problematic because of the unladylike history behind the names unfortunately.

I personally wouldn't want to have the name ๐ŸŽPandora or would I ever think of naming a daughter it but I can see why some parents would give their daughter such a debatable name – perhaps in hopes their daughter is different, better than the whispers behind the name... I would hope.
